Patchwork Pathways,
Wisconsin
Stay Wild. Stay Curious.
From backyards and school grounds, to public parks and rural spaces, Wisconsin's landscapes are full of potential. Patchwork Pathways is a community-led initiative dedicated to restoring native ecosystems one garden at a time.
By installing pocket pollinator gardens and hosting free, hands-on educational events, we are stitching together a vibrant, connected ecological corridor across our local neighborhoods.
Pollinator Corridor Interactive Map
What started as a small, local initiative to bring awareness to native plants and pollinators has officially gone nationwide!
Our Patchwork Pathways Interactive Map is live, showing how every individual garden, pocket prairie, and backyard habitat links together to form vital corridors for migratory pollinators. Monarchs, native bees, and songbirds don't see property lines- they see stepping stones. By mapping our gardens, we're showing the real-time impact of native restoration and how small individual patches weave into a massive, life-saving lifeline across the country.

The pollinator paparazzi: citizen science & insect tracking
You don't need to be a scientist with a lab coat to make real contributions to global wildlife conservation! This workshop trains participants to become modern field researchers, using nothing but their smartphones or tablets to track, identify, and protect local insects.

Leave the leaves
We often focus on feeding pollinators in the summer, but where do they go when it snows? This workshop turns traditional yard care on its head by exploring the critical ecological role of fallen leaves, dead plant stalks, and brush piles as winter shelters for native bees, moths, and butterflies.
Available Year-Round!
